Chris specialises in corporate, commercial and intellectual property law and is based in our Market Harborough office. He advises on mergers and acquisitions and joint ventures, private equity and investments and regularly advises on international transactions. Chris also advises on commercial disputes including director and shareholder disputes, contractual disputes and intellectual property infringement actions. He also has expertise in dealing with building and construction disputes.

Adam is a patent and trade mark agent and assists a range of clients from lone inventors and start up-companies to large corporations. Adam has experience of drafting and prosecuting patent applications in a range of technologies including mechanical devices, offshore structures, aerospace, electronic devices and communication systems, military technologies, medical devices, material synthesis and organic glasses. He has provided patent validity opinions and advised on the filing of patent invalidity actions and opinion requests with the UK Intellectual Property office.

Adam also works with clients to assist with the protection of design rights and trade marks and has experience of trade mark opposition proceedings with OHIM and the UK Trade Mark Registry.

Louise is an experienced Dispute Resolution Solicitor specialising in Commercial Litigation and Insolvency.   Louise qualified in 2004 and has previously been a Partner and Associate Director in high profile Midlands based firms.

  • Obtaining a validation order for a company within 48 hours based on an urgent need to pay their workforce.

  • Successfully pursuing claims against former employees for misuse of company property including IPR and confidential information.

  • Effectively defending several claims for alleged breach of restrictive covenant.

  • Resolving claims for breach of warranty and using these as set off against deferred consideration due.

  • Successfully securing an injunction against a former Agent to ensure continuation of a Chinese supply network for a furniture retailer.
